Wellington Wine Walk

... a taste of the Cape's finest!

This three or four day hiking trail through the beautiful Wellington valley in the Winelands of the Western Cape - 75 km from Cape Town, South Africa - takes you through indigenous fynbos, vineyards and olive groves.

Enjoy hiking with a difference. All you carry is a light day-pack and we transport your luggage to the next stop. Walk at an easy pace and enjoy the scenery as you discover hidden treasures. Stop and taste the wines and olive products produced in this fertile valley. Local guides, fully accredited and well versed in the history and culture of the area, will accompany you.

At the end of each day we provide comfortable accommodation in four different guest houses on historic old wine farms, each offering delicious country cuisine.

Groups of 6 to 12 persons (sharing) are preferred, although we can accommodate individual hikers. As the Wellington bowl experiences extreme heat during summer, we operate these walking tours from mid-March through to end November.

We are settling back after our holiday and I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed the Walk and meeting you all and thank you for looking after us so well.

It was all so well organised (even the weather!).  Everyone we met was so charming and hospitable - we enjoyed everywhere we visited and stayed, all that we learned and of course all the good food and wine!  Thank goodness we did some walking in between!
