Wellington Wine Walk. Walks and nature trails in Wellington, Western Cape, South Africa

Approached from Cape Town, the most pleasing route is as follows: follow the N1 north in the direction of Paarl until you reach exit 47, the R44. Turn left at this point and follow the R44 until you reach the town of Wellington on your left. You will find yourself in Piet Retief Street. At a T-junction with traffic lights and a cemetery on your right, turn right at the T-junction and follow this road (the R301) south as it leaves town. Proceed for about 1 kilometre and turn left at the sign for Diemersfontein Wine Estate, which is the starting point of the walk.

The starting point is about a 1 hour drive from central Cape Town.
